Lead Technical Artist

DESCRIPTION

Yesterlandia is an Indie game project in active early development. It is being developed by DePaul's D.O.G.S studio. I served as the lead technical artist for the project during the last year. The project is currently still in the early pre production stages. As Lead Technical Artist (and the sole 3D artist at current), I was responsible for a number of rolls. Including character visual development, prototyping, rigging, texturing and animation. I also worked on visual development for other parts of the game, in the form of shaders for the characters and parts of the environment, and lighting tests for the main menu.

Below are several screenshots, turn arounds, and videos showing the current version of the main characters. The current build of various parts of the game, such as the current demo and WIP main menu. These characters are in mid development with more updates on the way.

Character Revamp Update Video

Since the playable demo I have been working on improving and enhancing various aspects that were created for the demo. Mainly focusing on the main character, remaking the model with a new high poly sculpt and re topologizing it for game animation. Remaking the rig with significantly more flexibility and expressiveness while also including more professional and scalable rigging solutions. And finally improving various in engine systems, like control rigs, IK retargeting, physics, simulations.
